Ollie sat on his throne in his full would-be-king-of-the-rainbow-world garments, his loud curses made the walls tremble and several of his small followers cowered in fear. The ogre held a large orb in his hands that pulsed with a blue light, while white arcane symbols swirled around within. "Work you stupid piece of worthless glass," he growled, throwing the orb away, where it hit the wall and bounced off; rolling across the floor as the orge's minions dived out of the way. A female bunny stopped the man-sized orb when it had lost enough speed. Examining the orb the rabbit-girl looked a little worried, then collected all her courage and spoke to the ogre. "It looks like it has lost its connection to the gem, Sire." The ogre did not look up when he answered her. "No; do you really think so? Thank you for pointing it out. I'm sure that idea never crossed my mind." He waved to one of the ferrets. "Take her and her little family with you and see to it she gets the proper reward," he said. The ferret bowed, then left with the doe walking behind him. Another ferret entered the room. "We have heard from our agents that the other Unicorn and her friends are on their way, Sire. Should we prepare an ambush for them?" Ollie looked at the creature in front of him, then nodded. "Yes, take every one of my subjects with you and capture the other Unicorn. They came through the canyon, I'm sure you'll do better then my last officer? At least he saved me the trouble of stripping the skin from his body for his failure." The Ferret shivered, then bowed. "I will not fail you, my liege," then turned around and shouted orders to the other ferrets in the Ogre's throne room. They quickly gathered their weapons and left. The Ogre turned around and picked a dark stone from a table next to its massive chair. "And if I can't get a mating pair I can always use you. A Unicorn soul is much better then anything I could get from its body," he chuckled while petting the stone. A small voice interrupted his thoughts. "Excuse me sire, but dinner is ready." Ollie smiled and tucked the gem away in one of his pockets. "Excellent! I'm so hungry I could eat a horse. You may serve when ready." The bat nodded and two other bats pushed a giant dinner wagon in front of the ogre. The ogre lifted the lid from the bowl and smiled. "Hasenpfeffers, my favorite dish." |
