eanette put the sword back in its sheath.

She headed back to bed, but turned around when she heard a fluttering noise
outside her bedroom door. She went to the door and quietly opened it
as to not disturb her room mate Kamida. It was a jeweled butterfly.
Jeanette stepped in the hallway and whispered, "How did you get in
here?" Then she noticed it was a young butterfly. "Oh, you're a
newly formed memory," she whispered, "Come." She motioned the little
butterfly to land on her head. It was one of Florence's memories.
Jeanette felt a sudden burst of joy followed by a sense of
disappointment Florence felt at the realization that the person whom
Florence thought was her True Love was really Kathy in her...new unicorn
form? Jeanette wondered what Kathy was before her transformation.
Jeanette felt the disappointment slip away as she watched this
peaceful scene of a unicorn sleeping by the fire play in her mind
accompanied by a beautiful, continuous tune she never heard before.
Jeanette felt a sense of longing followed by a series of other memories as
the author of this memory tried to sort things out in her mind.
Jeanette recognized some of the places in Florence's newly discovered
memories but could sense they were unfamiliar to the wolf. Florence's
memories were interrupted by one of Jeanette's memories, it was what her
dad said in the dream she just experienced, "This sword is meant to set the
captives free, not for revenge. Your mother married a knight, not a
dragon slayer." This was not making any sense to the young, confused
chipmunk, "Mom found her knight in shining armor and Florence has found her
prince. It's now my job to rescue the prince and slay the dragon, who
took the life of Mom's knight, in the process."
Still determined to do the right thing for the wrong reason, Jeanette goes
to her window to let the young butterfly out. Thinking about what she
just experienced, Jeanette wondered why Florence remembers the living room
being all torn up. Jeanette shrugs that off and goes back to bed.
