lorence opened her weary eyes to find a unicorn sleeping in front of a
small fireplace directly in front of her.

Florence's heart suddenly leaped with overwhelming joy from her fur-covered
chest; but only for a moment, until her heart fell painfully back into place
when she realized that it was Kathy's new unicorn form sleeping soundly in
front of the warm fire. Florence sighed heavily and watched the glowing
reflections of oranges and reds dance silently across Kathy's elegant white
mane as she breathed--only recently a unicorn, but still so beautiful.
"Even in sleep, they take your breath away," Florence thought to
herself.

How much she found herself missing her silly little unicorn. Just to
hold him again. The reflections of orange and red, from the fire,
blurred across her eyes as Florence remembered the fragrance of flowers when
she buried her nose in the silky softness of his mane. To listen to
him breathing against her ear when she pressed her face against his powerful
neck and hear his heart beat strong and proud.
So many new memories...so many that made no sense. But, there was one
memory of many that repeated itself over and over again--flying on massive
wings of gossamer; so delicate, yet so very powerful gliding among the tall
castles of silver white clouds.
The flames of orange and red continued to blur until Florence's heavy
eyelids closed once more, gently sending another silent tear rolling down
her fur covered cheek.
