Jeanette showed Kamida her bedroom where they'd be sleeping which is located in the Southwest corner of the house. From the Southern and Western windows, light from the lamp post could easily be seen. It was a typical teenager's bedroom which included book shelves, a desk, a doll house from her early childhood and a nightstand next to the bed. On the walls and on the desk, Kamida saw more pictures. One picture in particular which caught her attention was of the adult male chipmunk she saw in the older family portraits. In this one he was dressed in a typical knight's garb holding a sword. "Dad was a knight in the ferret kingdom," Jeanette explained. "A chipmunk as a knight?" Kamida inquired. "He is half-fox, after all." "Being that you are a daughter of a knight, I would imagine you know a few things about dragons," Kamida paused, then looked as if something just dawned on her. "The reason you broke us out of prison is because you heard we were wanting to rescue our unicorn friend from the dragon and you..." Jeanette nods, "You're rather sharp but not so loud. I don't want Mom to know just yet." Kamida looks at the picture of the knight and then back at Jeanette, "I understand." |
